Matthew Knight Arena, located at the University of Oregon in Eugene, honors Nike founder Phil Knight’s son and serves as the home for the Oregon Ducks basketball team. Designed as a passion incubator, the arena keeps fans close to the action, continuing the legacy of its predecessor.
The ‘Theatre of Basketball’ theme enhances player performance with heroic imagery and translucent lighting effects, celebrating the brand’s legacy through integrated storytelling and signage.
Oregon’s 'O' logos are prominently featured in environmental graphics and sculptural elements across guest areas, VIP lounges, and player huddle rooms. The court-side design ensures fans remain close to the action while reinforcing the arena’s iconic status.
Created during the role of Senior Project Designer at Perkins+Will, Eva Maddox, Branded Environments.
